Katie Hipol Garcia

Katie Hipol Garcia (she/her) is a California director and teaching artist based in the Central Coast. She received her BA in Theatre Arts at San Jose State University in Spring of 2020. There, she directed short plays for Center Stage Productions’ festival, Desires of the Heart and completed her internship assistant directing Jewel Theatre’s Breaking the Code (dir. Kirsten Brandt.) Recently, she directed Zoom productions for More Más Marami, Playwrights Center of San Francisco, and the Pear Theatre. In addition to directing, Katie is also a playwright and costumer. She is passionate about telling stories that explore gender and art that reflects the perspectives of women.
