Trespass Theatre
Why do you have to go to the theatre? Trespass Theatre is More Más Marami taking theatre from the stage to your neighborhood. Creating shows that happen anywhere and everywhere in the South Bay.
Do you have an idea that’s perfect but you aren’t sure how to get started? We have an open call for submissions from anyone in the community, supported through micro grants so you and everyone involved can be paid for your time. All experience levels and ideas are open!
Interested in creating a piece for Trespass Theatre?
We are always looking for proposals for site specific theatre and performances in San José! Selected proposals will receive a stipend to put on their show as a part of More Más Marami Arts' Trespass Theatre series, along with technical, production and artistic support to put on their show.
All sorts of performances are encouraged! Sound installations, one acts, a dance, performance art, Trespass Theatre is about creating art outside of its traditional venues and is not limited to a specific form of art. All proposals must occur in San José or in a nearby accessible location. No resume or previous experience is required.
Priority will be given to proposals that touch on the following topics:
1) Culture & community
2) Isolation & connection
3) Environment & sustainability
